C.A.R.E. Day (Compassion and Respect for
Elders) Day
At the 12th World Buddhist
Women's Convention in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2002), a resolution sponsored by the
Hawaii Federation of BWA was passed which called for the observance of C.A.R.E.
Day to promote awareness of the need to show compassion and respect to the
elderly.
