Preschool, Dharma School, and Youth Programs

For more than 50 years, Mō‘ili‘ili Hongwanji Preschool has nurtured children’s individual physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. Find out more by visiting the Preschool’s website today.

Mō‘ili‘ili Hongwanji Dharma School and Youth Programs emphasize the Three Treasures (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and provide the foundation for truly understanding all living beings are interconnected and interdependent, thus we are never alone, and are able to live in compassion and with gratitude for all life.

Dharma School classes meet once or twice a month and have joint outings and activities with the Honolulu Hongwanji Dharma Schools. New students are welcome to participate in all services, classes and activities. Services begin at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday.

Support comes from trained volunteers guided by the principle of “Dana,” which combines compassion and selfless giving without desire for recognition or reward.

Buddhist Women’s Association

The Buddhist Women’s Association supports the temple and serves the community through volunteering, fundraising, and community service activities. BWA is among the fellowship groups that for over a century have respected our elders, handed down cherished traditions and values to the next generations, and innovated new ways to serve the greater good now and into the future.
