Sunday Service, February 25th, 2018

Published February 25, 2018 by

Charlene Kihara, a tokudo (initial ordination) recipient shared her Dharma message at this morning’s Sunday service. She talked about the Lunar New Year and the twelve animals of the Asian zodiac. She reflected on the passage of time, and the feeling of arigatai or gratitude and thankfulness as we live our unrepeatable lives. She shared her experiences as a caregiver to her parents and the changes she sees in them with their aging. She shared that same feeling of gratitude she has for those things that her parents have done to raise her, as well as the opportunity to be able to care for them in return.
