Dear Moiliili Hongwanji Ohana,

We are all saddened to hear the news of the unprecedented act of violence that happened in the place of worship in Christchurch, New Zealand.  Let us pause for a moment, and extend our thoughts and compassion to the victims, their families, and many others who have been affected by this tragedy.  Let each of us find peace and strength in the Nembutsu, which is the name of Amida Buddha that calls each and every living being as precious and indispensable as all others.
