HONOLULU HONGWANJI COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE, Sunday, June 30 – Sunday, July 28

All four Honolulu District Temples are invited to participate in a FOOD DRIVE for Kahauiki Village, Duane Kurisu’s initiative that created affordable long-term housing for Hawaii’s homeless families in a community that embraces the plantation values of generosity, trust, dignity, and honor. Thirty more families are moving into Kahauiki Village’s Phase II in August.

What: FOOD DRIVE for Kahauiki Village — canned goods (meats, vegetables, fruits, soups, etc.) and items such as coffee, rice, and cereal
When: Sunday, June 30 — Sunday, July 28
Where: Moiliili Hongwanji’s front lanai on Sundays or MHM office after July 7)
