Preventative measures to decrease the transmission of respiratory illnesses

Published March 4, 2020 by

Moiliʻili Hongwanji is taking precautions by following CDC guidelines to decrease the transmission of respiratory illnesses such as the flu and coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

The CDC guidelines include:

  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Covering coughs or sneezes (with sleeve rather than hands)
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
  • Staying home when sick
  • Getting an updated flu vaccine (While it won’t protect against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), it may help in diagnosis should you display symptoms.)

The health and safety of our members, friends, and community is a priority for us.
