You remember George Takei as Sulu from Star Trek. Since those early days, George Takei has been a staunch and vocal advocate for justice and human rights, particularly for the LGBTQ community.

The following is a link to a flyer on the two events scheduled for February 18.

The first event is a special service at Hawaii Betsuin at 9:30 a.m. with George Takei speaking on “What Buddhism Means to Me.” This event is Free Admission.

(There will be no Sunday Service at Moiliili this day. Everyone is encouraged to attend this special service at Hawaii Betsuin at 9:30 a.m.)

The second event is a fundraising event at Pacific Buddhist Academy at 5:00 p.m. featuring “George Takei Reflects on Day of Remembrance.”

5 pm Fundraising event
