Please join us this Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. for Remembrance & Hongwanji Day Service (hybrid service*).

During the first Sunday service of each month, we take the time to honor & memorialize loved ones, whether it be family members, friends, or pets, whose memorial date falls within the month. You may call the temple to provide their names. Optionally, provide a photo we can display on the screen. During the service, family members will be called to offer incense in memory of their loved ones.

Hongwanji Day honors Rev. Soryu Kagahi, the first Jodo Shinshu minister who came to Hawaii from Japan in March, 1889. He arrived to propagate Jodo Shinshu teachings among the Japanese laborers on the sugar plantations.

The Dharma message will be delivered by our resident minister, Rev. David Fujimoto.

Refreshments and fellowship to follow.

We look forward to seeing you!
