Dear Moiliili Hongwanji Members and Friends,

I would like to invite you and your family to our Sunday Service on September 26, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.   

9/26 LAY SPEAKER SUNDAY SERVICE

Due to the new COVID-19 related restrictions, Moiliili Hongwanji will hold Sunday Services via Zoom only until further notice. (No in-person available.)

  • Sutra Chanting: “Juseige” (Service Book (PDF) is available online from here.)
  • Gatha: “Peace is a Seed” 
  • Dharma Message: Mr. Jake Chang (Former Youth Specialist)
  • Reading: “The Promise”  

In-Person: Not available at this time.

The Hawaii District Ministers Association (HDMA) is presenting a series of online seminars, monthly on Saturdays, online through Zoom.

The first seminar is Saturday 9/25 (tomorrow) from 10-11:00 a.m. The topic is “What is the temple’s role and responsibility as part of the community?”

Discussion will be lead by Rev. Shinji Kawagoe, Papaikou Hongwanji Mission.

The Market Place has been undergoing changes in the last few weeks. Moiliili Hongwanji’s website will show some changes in the general format, categories and new items for sale.

With the holidays coming up in just 3 months, we will start introducing gift and craft items. Please feel free to invite family and friends to browse the Market Place website. We also welcome donations of new or very gently used items.
